Why does Trails flag low-volume transactions?

Created by Mayank Singhal, Modified on Tue, 10 Mar at 7:13 PM by Mayank Singhal

Transactions for very small amounts (less than ~$0.10) can sometimes fail or be routed incorrectly, depending on the exact route.

  • Cost vs. Value: For extremely small sums, the fee taken by liquidity providers or total gas may be greater than the transaction amount itself, making the operation economically unviable.

  • Recommendation: For smaller transactions, we recommend using high-liquidity tokens, such as USDC, as they generally have better routing options.
