Why does my wallet show an "Unknown Contract"?

When you interact with Trails, your wallet might display a warning about an unknown contract. This is expected and normal behavior and does not mean your funds are at risk.

  • Intent-Based Execution: For Trails to securely execute your specific cross-chain transaction, a unique contract address is generated on the blockchain. This address corresponds to the onchain actions you want to take and automatically and securely executes them through Trails' intent-based architecture.

  • Safety Check: Since this address is new and unique for every transaction, some wallets will automatically flag it as one you haven't interacted with before. You can proceed after reviewing the transaction details.
